What the doctor said

His ANC is back to normal BUT his platelets have dropped by over 100,000 in just 10 days. His hemaglobin is also on its way down. The doctor is faxing everything to oncology and I should hear something by the end of the day.
I am done worrying about neutrophils. Now I am waiting for someone to tell me this is not the beginning of the leukemia coming back.

  1. I just went to baby Kelsey's blog. Thanks for sharing that so we can all be praying for their family. What a sweetie. Now on to Tomas....what is the little stinker doing? I can't remember how long you have been following my blog, but you know I have been right where you are before with Ella. She was hospitalized over Thanksgiving with VERY low Hb and during that time her platelets even dropped (they are frequently low though) and I was just sure that leukemia had arrived. They did a bone marrow biopsy and still no leukemia. These kiddos' bodies just have a mind of their own, that's for sure!! So, I guess my point is that there is still a possibility that it isn't leukemia. I know that when we have a diagnosis of TMD, it is forever a worry for us....but we can still be hopeful and pray, pray, pray!! Prayers are on there way from CA right now. By the way, have they ever done a bone marrow biopsy on Tomas???

  3. I haven't had the chance to tell you how very much I appreciated you honesty ... it really meant the world to me.I totally do understand and now, here you are posted of your fears, the very fear you felt when you visited Zoey's site and all I want to do is tell you it will be alright. No matter what you will find your way through this.I will echo what, ironically two of my very, very dear friends have said above me,especially Denise's part that these kids bodies have a mind of their own!

Sending you peace during this anxious time. Will pray for you and sweet Tomas in the mean time.
